Listen. I’ve been talking with my best friend and want to open up this topic to you guys: what if the DH series is the original timeline and not the one getting fucked up in Chronicles of Nick? I believe it could be plausible because we see none of the CoN characters in the main series, but my friend pointed out that CoN is supposedly going to connect with the main series where Nick is introduced in Night Pleasures.

Sherrilyn has stated they are the same timeline not different ones. CoN is Nick’s true backstory and after the final CoN book Nick will be getting his own DH book (I’m assuming leading on from the final events in CoN). And in the recent DH books things have started to be affected, Ash has noticed, not sure about anyone else. I’m currently thinking Nick is affected by memory loss/change. Perhaps the others are too, or they’re staying away from Nick (Sherri is all about foreshadowing and in Invision they were actually talking about resetting Nick’s memory). There’s some things in DH Nick’s supposed backstory that don’t make sense given the information we now have about his heritage. 

I’m pretty sure we don’t see the CoN characters because some shit will go down in the end. I hear Aeron has been in the DH books though and if Aeron is free so is Xev and we know who freed them. They may even start making appearances now? Aeron could’ve been the first. Ambrose knows Caleb (and that weird scene in Infinity where Caleb knows Ambrose?? still haven’t figured that one out) so I’m assuming Caleb’s still around somewhere. 

Yes okay but the fact that Ash is noticing that things are changing drives my point. The two series can share the exact same timeline up until the point Kody & Ambrose start messing things up.

Resetting his memory was part of my friend’s theory and it makes sense that it would happen because I feel like if Nick remembered the others ( in relation to himself and simi if that makes any sense? And also!! The prediction!! About his mom’s death from the grimoire!! ) the events causing him to become a dark-hunter would have been drastically different if even non-existant.

I’m sure we’ll see Caleb at least because he’s tied to Bethany so that’s exciting to think about until you think about the fact that in most cases of erased memory ( fictional or like with hypnotization ) that the amnesiac ( nick ) can be triggered and regain their memories, and that would 1000000% suck for Nick.
